Get into those random encounters with enemies and have all your Aeons get OVERDRIVE, then dismiss them. Do this for all Aeons so when you fight Seymour, you can call all the Aeons with a full overdrive and the ability to use their main attack right away.

Also make sure Yuna has a full overdrive so she can use GRAND SUMMON on your most powerful Aeon.

Also, if you can't beat him through trial and error, then level up.

What lvl approx.?

seymour uses a very specific attack pattern with the multi spells. once you see what his pattern is, you can have yuna cast the nullspell before seymours next turn and noone will take any damage. once you have the pattern down you can you this strategy and you won't take any damage at all. Example of what Im talking about is you figured out seymour will cast mult-fira next, so before his turn have yuna cast nullblaze.

Also before you get rid of his guards try casting shell on all the characters that you're gonna use against his form after aeon. It's really helpful in dealing with his magic and have auron use magic break to weaken his magic even more. Use any character overdrives and aeon overdrives u can to defeat him. Also if Lulu has learned Bio have her cast it on him immediately after u defeat his aeon Anima.

There are no levels because of the Sphere Grid in X. <_<


Scan Seymour, the description will tell you what order he will attack in, you just need to use the Null spell corresponding to the attack he will do next.

In his second stage, he will attack two different people so he can't kill you if you do it right.

Also you don't need to power up, the entire game can be completed without touching the Sphere Grid or Aeons (the story and Omega Ruins at least, not sure about most of the Dark Aeons, Shinryu or Nemesis).

The game cannot be completed without using the sphere grid because your characters are too weak and cant beat the boss that your up to.
And you cannot advance in the game without using Aeons because there are specific battles where you can use aeons and aeons only.

Anyway, as for Seymour...

His first lot of spells goes in the order of Ice, Lightning, Water then Fire incase you didnt already realise. Lol...
Use Yuna's Nulspells in order every time she has a turn.
As for Anima, i used Auron and Tidus' attacks to kill him before his overdrive charged but my characters were stronger than average when i faced her. Using an aeon could prove helpful, particularly Shiva as she is immune to Anima's "Pain" effect of instand death, and you can use ice spells on yourself to regain full health.
