Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War - Soulstorm Message Board  

Well...I found out why I was having trouble with the disk version of Soul Storm, anyhow. In addition to a DVD ROM Drive that suddenly went south on me, I also had a bad CD or DVD in this case. I bought another copy of Soul Storm, this time from our local WalMart rather than ordering it and, it works fine. Well it does after I bought another DVD player in addition to the game. I guess I'll be able to return the faulty DVD and get a refund or at least a partial one but, if I don't it isn't anything to lose sleep over. Now that I have a working game that I've modified to my liking, I think the game rocks. I'm not sure I like it or the scenery and graphics as well as I do Dark Crusade but, it is still an alright game. One thing is certain. If I couldn't modify my favorite force, the Imperial Guard to something decent instead of the weak, hapless army the originators of the game have made them, I would get killed in every game I played.
