I purchased Imperium Romanum through a digital download and the game, the cheats and everything else is working fine for me. So far I like it fine. The game itself is much like "Glory of the Roman Empire," which was released some months ago, except it's a bit more advanced and seemingly has larger maps and more buildings added. I noticed they still failed to include an editor in the game, which was one of the main faults of the first release. Maybe they'll release one as a download later on.
So far, however, I can't say I find the game displeasing in any way. It was easy to learn as was its' predecessor and it is a lot of fun. I doubt there is any need for a trainer, though it might be helpful to some. With the cheats I found for IR. you don't really need a trainer. Just type the cheat in you want to use while playing and that is all there is to it. So far I can say I really like and enjoy Imperium Romanum.

I agree it reminds me of the Caesar series of games the graphics are sharp. I still say the learning curve would be about an hour and a half to understand the building concept for those that haven't played the kind of games.
