And Unreal Engine V3 is just Unreal, but improved. Your point? That doesn't change the fact that the Company of Heroes engine is more up to date than the engine powering the Warhammer 40K games, and the next Warhammer title could benefit greatly by moving to that engine.
You're right ^^ quite. The Unreal III engine is NOT Unreal, as it is a completely new built-from-scratch engine.
The Essence engine is completely the same engine between DoW and CoH, even if several well-made enhancements has been made before using it in CoH. (Enhancements which would be too much work to add to DoW, such as destructible environments and such.)
Even so, the DoW Essence engine is getting a bit out-dated, I agree. (While the CoH Essence engine is upgraded enough to allow further enhancements, while the DoW has limitations, not allowing it to push it's borders any further.)
Btw, there is an old WH40k FPS out there (Fire Warrior, it's called, if I'm not mistaken). But also, if I'm not mistaken, it sucked. ^^
