And Unreal Engine V3 is just Unreal, but improved. Your point? That doesn't change the fact that the Company of Heroes engine is more up to date than the engine powering the Warhammer 40K games, and the next Warhammer title could benefit greatly by moving to that engine.

Huhuhu I'd like to see warhammer run on a cryengine 2 similar engine :P

In the end warhammer games are all about the gore heretic storyline/feeling
It's true that the recent releases lack that storyline in a quite abnormal quantity ... but non the less it's funny to play warhammer soulstorm

I would like to see a remake and a good physx engine applied to the game and hopefully the relic team will come up with that in the near future ...
However I fell that the storyline need to be rethink first, we haven't seen any solid storyline in 2 releases ... just pieces of a shattered puzzle

You're right ^^ quite. The Unreal III engine is NOT Unreal, as it is a completely new built-from-scratch engine.

The Essence engine is completely the same engine between DoW and CoH, even if several well-made enhancements has been made before using it in CoH. (Enhancements which would be too much work to add to DoW, such as destructible environments and such.)

Even so, the DoW Essence engine is getting a bit out-dated, I agree. (While the CoH Essence engine is upgraded enough to allow further enhancements, while the DoW has limitations, not allowing it to push it's borders any further.)

Btw, there is an old WH40k FPS out there (Fire Warrior, it's called, if I'm not mistaken). But also, if I'm not mistaken, it sucked. ^^

Hmm lets see...Dawn of War Games made by Massiveattack: 0 Dawn of War Games made by Relic: 4. Simple math Relic kicks your ass in this department. I think soulstorm is the best one out there. I just finish the game as sisters of battle and it rock. So unless u got something good to about Warhammer 40k just shut the **** up.
