The the CH Community in regards to this thread,
I hardly every post here in the CH forums but this time I thought I would place my own opinion in because of this particular thread.
By no means am I trying to flame or bash anyone for their comments. Everyone has the right to share their own opinion in a public setting. Being that as it is, let me say that this is only my opinion.
As long as I could remember, there have been always a way to make specific PC title games allow access to their inner structure in the form of "cheats". Some are already there in plain view for a novice gamer to manipulate to their form of play. Doesn't matter if its to give you more items, unlimited items, god like abilities... the list can seem almost endless. In regards to Trainers, they are close to the same as the "YOU PLAYER" making changes within a certain file(s) or using the game's console to make in-game alterations,(the only exception is that Trainers use areas with in the memory). However, being somewhat close to the that of console commands or file(s) alterations, Trainers are by no means without their limitations OR invulnerable to be written with malicious coding. Since all of us here in one or the other try to find or locate the easiest, fastest and more reliable way to cheat in our favorite games, we all take a chance with sites like CH. Taking a chance I mean as to the files we download in the form of "Trainers". Some of you here already know what I mean by taking a chance. For those that don't, I'll say bluntly... download from a site that you think is safe is a 50/50 chance that you WILL get a Trojan, Worm or Virus that will execute itself as soon as you double click on the Trainer. Not sure about the community here but I rather be safe than sorry and NOT have to spend hours re-installing everything on my PC just because I decided to be careless.
To dumpa: ---> I totally understand where you are coming from. You want certain things to be available when they are stated that they will in a timely fashion and you are willing to wait to get those specific Trainers when they are made to the public. Unfortunately you find yourself going to alternate sites to find Trainers from CH... even though the time frame gets wider upon their release. However, again... no one if forcing anything upon you. From your post, you find it that your entitled to get what you need/want without having to pay for its use. Ever considered how much time and money is spent on the individuals that make these Trainers? Especially Trainers such as these that are free from malicious coding? Nothing is absolutely "free". Pay little for less headache and frustration? Personally, I'll chose that option every time. I will say Dumpa, please be careful where you get CH Trainers, (that are not downloaded from here) or ANY Trainers from alternate sites because from my personal past experiences, you'll get something in your PC that you can well do without. Dumpa, if you feel that I flamed or bashed you in anyway, I apologize. I'm only trying to make a valid personal point. Nothing is free and if you want some of the best things out there in the world, you will eventually have to pay for it.
To M4K4V3LI: ---> I agree with your reply that you made. I would also pay "per trainer" if the option would ever arise. But what do you think is a reasonable "price" for each trainer you download? Like you posted, it'll take less time to get the Trainer already made than spend your actually game time constructing your own. I've written Trainers for personal use in the past. Take what I say as a grain of salt BUT writing Trainers are not always easy and can be very time consuming.
To PWizard: ---> You, Caliber and the rest of the individuals on the CH team, in my honest opinion, all of you have done an excellent job in getting the one of the best (if not the best), working Trainers out before most any other sites. Especially on gaming titles that that JUST get released to the public. In addition, CH offers their Trainers, "MALICIOUS" coding free. Thats always a plus. However, I have to comment on what Dumpa posted... time frame on public release Trainers. I've been here since 2006 and I have changed from member to unlimited member since then. Correct me if I'm wrong but I too have noticed a slight trend in the time frame on when CH releases their Trainers to the public. For me, I tend to walk the IMPATIENT line when it comes to getting Trainers as soon as they are available. My point is that I have a close friend, in a similar situation as Dumpa, that sees the time gap getting wider between Unlimited Members to Public release. My friend at this time cannot afford the unlimited status as I or as many others here can so he does rely on waiting for public release. Granted, I could be wrong but it seems that releases have gotten a little extended. If so, can I ask the reason behind this? For me, an extended release time date doesn't effect my present status but unfortunately it does effect others here like my friend who are just as anxious to use Ch Trainers that are updated regularly and are safe to use.
Personally, I have always felt that you get what you paid for. What I paid to CH for their Trainers as an Unlimited Member is actually one of the best investments I've paid for online. I also believe people should get credit in some form for their talents and time... within reason.
So, with all that said, I'm done with my long winded post. I certainly didn't mean to sound as if I was to flame or bash anyone here.
Regards,
K1
