Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind Message Board  

so i used to play this a while ago an got bored so desided to pop it in an play it again. an i rememberd the god code an how to put cheats in but now that i try to put cheats in it wont let me. I push the key an nothing comes down an i just cant put in cheats by the tide key ne more keep in mind i have a new computer now an i have vista so any body have any ideas

i am running off of vista right now, my game has a few scratches in it so it won't run properly, but when i pressed the ` key, the console popped up, i don't use cheats, i just pressed it to see if everything was still working, and it did, more or less

...are you sure your just pressing `, not ~

you do relise their the same key right

yeah, i meant not holding shift when you press it so you get ` not ~

i never had to hold shift an press it when i used it before why would i have to do that now i assume thats wat you were saying im not quite sure though

what i was saying was that you should only need to push ` and not hold shift for the console to popup.

Make sure numlock is on.

Make sure capslock is off.

Make sure the tilde key actually WORKS by testing it on a text program.

I've had the same probelm with the ~ key. i tried all of the above methods and still the box does not pop up. And i went and tried on on my computer that still had Xp and it worked. I think it just might be a vista thing any help would be appreciated
