I use the 03 Mustang for drifts. She's perfect. Really fun car. Fast and spunky, making her the ideal drift car.

ok its me again with some confusion.
i keep hearing the mention of the "Evo X" but my game has no such car. the is an evo and an evo ix. so how do you get the "X"? also is there a difference between the other two?
also what do you think of the viper for grip? i am trying it now (i had to hold back on the power upgrades) and it seems good to me.

aaargh me again. my speed career is in danger. My gt is out of control. at top speed the slightest nudge of the wheel sends me flying into a rail and cartwheeling down the track (much to the delight of my 4 year old)i have not tuned the car. do i set the steering looser to fix this? or is there a better handling car to use at the speed races? or should i perhaps not play racing games anymore (just kidding)

For speeds both the older and newer Evos work great, but you said you don't have Evo,so,try Skyline or Supra.

Supra needs to be level 4,all gears tall, boosts high,if she's to be used for drag.

There are 2 Lancer's in the game:
    1 - 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR-edition Link
    2 - 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Link

Those links take you to a website with wallpapers of both cars, that should help you figure out which EVO is which.

As far as speed racing goes, AWD is best. I use a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, the Audi RS4 is also good. The EVO IX is also very good, the AI usually runs pretty fast in them. The only problem with the Ford GT is the RWD setup, it leads to instability, the Pagani Zonda F has the same problem. They're best left for grip racing. Hope that helps, don't hesitate to ask more questions.

Either Evo is ideal for speed challenges,as is Skyline, but Skyline can be to much car for an inexperienced driver.
