I've never tried anything but muscle cars in the drag but most likely the level 4 parts bring the power to levels beyond the available traction and you lose precious seconds struggling for grip.

Agreed, but modern muscles (i.e. Shelby GT500, Corvette C6) have adequate traction to cope with all this power. They start with high level 2 traction, and can reach low-to-mid level 4 traction when upgraded.

True, my GT500 is all level 4 and it never goes wrong.

    2hot4u,
True but I'd never use a tuner on a drag strip. They were made for their handling, it'd a waste of potential to make them do nothing but go in a straight line.

agreed...but we can see other players use tuners well this is for them i really prefer like SuperSkyline said muscles.

I don't see why the use tuners in drag races. I find that muscles are only drag cars...at least that is working for me.

Supra and Skyline can handle drags nicely. I wouldn't use any of the other tuners, but I know someone that drags an RX8. Whatever gets the job done.

On XBL, there was this one guy who was undefeated in an RX-8. He even set a new track record. I brought my C6 to the line and completely dominated him. Modern muscles sure are the best when it comes to dragging.
