Yeah, I went back to Underground 2. The graphics are not quite as good as PS but envn PS was Pixilated in certain places.
Chingy will probably remember what i said when i first played the game, so i have just one comment to this thread,
"I Hope EA doesn't rush this release, if I were them i'd wait and release something that feels like NFS Underground 2 with all the cars, mods and physics of Prostreet."
After PS i am a bit weary of buying NFS games,
but it does sound good, i must admit, thank chingy.
Keep us posted on the news.
exactly...Combining Underground 2 with cars and graphics from PS...that would be DA GAME...and they should put more areas on UG2 map if they would combining them...
...the franchise will go back to it's roots...
This means there will be the four main race modes: Drag, Drift, Circuit and Sprint. I'm not sure as to whether or not there will be Speedtrap/Checkpoint, but those 4 are a certainty.
As for cars, this means that there will be a variety of tuners, exotics and concepts. I'm not sure how far back Gibeau means when he says "roots", but I'm going to venture a guess and say all the way back to the first NFS games. Muscles didn't exist, it was a variety of mainly exotics and concepts. Tuners came along in the 4th game, IIRC, and then muscles came along in MW.
But the recent separation of classes has proved to be a huge hit with everyone. So this could lead EA Games to keep all three classes of cars, and make them more arcade-like. The simulation attempt with ProStreet has had a love-or-hate effect on everyone. So I think Gibeau and EA Games will go back and stick to what everyone loved.
Having that said, they've made a bold statement in the opening of ProStreet: "It's time to take racing off the streets". I doubt they'll go back on this, and this is why I said it could very well turn out to be some hybrid game, a "legal" storyline, but with elements of illegal street racing in it.
