I have The Witcher Direct2drive version and patched it to 1.2. I can't seem to get the trainer to work for this version of the game without getting loads of crashes to the desktop. The 1.2 trainer is not working for this version of the game and I have tried to use several noCD fixes to no avail. Any suggestions or links to where I should look to find a working cheat for this game? All I really need or want is a gold cheat so I can buy better weapons earlier on in the game. An experience cheat would be nice as well, but I really want more gold! Thanks for any help with this!

I just stored my saved game files and uninstalled the game. I then reinstalled the game and added the 1.1 patch only. Then I used the 1.1a trainer on this site and it works. I gave myself a ton of gold and experience. I then saved my game and then exited out of the game. I then added the 1.2 patch and loaded my save game with all the gold and experience I gave myself just previously and it worked out great!

I still would like to see a new trainer made for the 1.2 version of this game that works for the D2D version of the game. I don't understand how the 1.1a trainer worked out for the 1.1 version of the D2D game, but the 1.2 trainer doesn't?

well I think u'd be happy in my place... I mean.. that the trainer v.1.2 on the game v.1.2 doesn't work well... At least the "cheat" concerning the money do works..! But the rest of the "cheats" (mostly the xp cheats) dont work..!

I have the same problem. 1.1a trainer worked perfectly but then I patched the witcher to 1.2 and now when I activate the trainer the witcher crashes.
I don't understand why it works for people.
I guess I'll just use the save editor for some money and XP.
oh and I had the original CD but I gave it away to a friend so now I'm using a noDVD image with DT pro. maybe that's the reason?
