Why does this trainer not work with WWSM2008? It's the same exact game with a different name. Everytime I try and activate the trainer it just says "unable to find game". Can anyone help me?

the trainer is looking for the executable

fm.exe

so if the wwsm2008 executable is named something else, you must rename it to fm.exe and see if that works.

also fm 2008 has patched up at least once i believe so not sure what your patch level is.

it may be the same game, but there could also be some significant differences in the executable in the different versions of the game.

I tried doing that and it works...kind of. It obv. finds fm.exe but the trainer just does some really strange things. I also can't save the modified stats, they always return to their original content after I save and load it up again. The money works. Every few matches played the match won't actually be played. It's like the match I'm watching and doing tactics for isn't really happening and the information on the bottom of the screen (I.E Goooaaalll! What a save!) is being generated for a different game and doesn't match what's going on. The result will always be that of the game I had no control over.

Obviously it's not quite "the same exact game" or else the trainer would behave exactly the same as it does with the original game. We'll need to obtain a copy of this other game in order to truly make the current trainer compatible.

Sorry for assuming it's the same exact game, I just figured it would be coded the same. I'd really appreciate if you could would make a trainer for WWSM though or just simply update the current one, help us North Americans out

Have you tried using the no-cd fix from from FM2008 on your version of the game to see if it will run? Trainer might work with that combo.
