Okay, got it to work.

Contrary to the instructions, you have to go to the inventory/options screeen BEFORE pressing the buttons.

And health does not work. It only shows as 10k, but the moment your soldier is hit it reverts to normal minus the damage.

what circumstances you seen this on? i played with the trainer for over an hour, i even attacked an alien base on earth with the single car-like vehicle and never pressed end turn and killed everything using the attack points, health, ammo options. it took damage FROM the 10000 but never went below 9000 and i wiped them all out with the one vehicle.

regarding the options not working until you reach the screens, etc. perhaps this is the problem:

to prevent crashes, i had to make the options work on a timer. what this means is that you have about 2 seconds after you press the option to click the button (either inventory or options depending on what you are doing) and then click back to the main screen. this game is tougher to make a trainer for than you would think!

so perhaps your problem is that are taking more time than the trainer timer is allowing. i apologize for not making a point of that. i just assumed 2 seconds was enough time. at any rate, try getting your mouse over the inventory button, then press the option key, press the inventory button, then press back FROM the inventory screen back to the attack screen quickly and see if that improves your situation.

Okay, further testing has confirmed this. I just click slow :P

However, I'm guessing you tested the health option only with vehicles. Soldiers have about 5-6 body parts with individual health, on top of critical wounds. That's probably why it's not working for my soldiers.

Any chance of an editor instead?

you could be correct regarding the various soldier body parts. i did not test for that. based on the difficulty of hacking this game, a cheat for the soldiers body parts, etc. will likely not be forthcoming.

i don't usually create editors for games, especially less popular titles/older titles such as this one.
