This was directed at the other guy... >_>
In terms of VRAM, you are absolutely fine. Your graphics are okay.
What I recommend you do, Jonesy, is disable all anti-virus programs you have running. Maybe your various firewalls are preventing the program from executing.

See, that's a discontinued model of graphic card by ATi, so the shader model in that card may be outdated. Therefore it won't support the visual graphics the game demands. For Video RAM, you're fine, but it's just the age of the card that's preventing ProStreet from working. I recommend you get a new card ASAP, if you want to play some of the newer games coming out soon.

Again, your video card model is outdated and discontinued by ATi. Therefore the shader model in your graphics unit has been rendered obsolete. Your GPU's shader model capabilities do not meet that which the game demands.
Solution? Get a new graphics card.

Prostreet won't play on my new pc,but plays on my old one. The new one has Vista and the old one has Windows XP. The new pc won't play any games newer than Most Wanted. It does fine with the older games, but won't play the new ones.

Do what the others have done and post your system statistics, so I can have a look.
