S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Message Board  

I was wondering about getting this game from Steam, and i was wondering do the trainers work for the steam version?

They work quite nicely on Steam.
I haven't encountered any problems using them on my Steam version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., all functions work.

I have just recently tried using the 1.0005 trainer on the steam version and as of yet I haven't had any of the desired effects.

Any tips on ways to get it working properly?

From what I've read in other posts you need to use the no-cd from gameburnworld with the steam version to make everything work properly. Haven't yet tried it so can't confirm though. As for me, what I find amusing is that the unlimited health works but the unlimited armour doesn't... so I'm running around the zone in some baggy old jumper and natty jeans

I haven't been able to get the trainer working on steam at all. First I just tried the trainer to no avail, then I got the correct no-dvd patch and still got nothing.

Anyone out there get this to work with 1.005? (the most current steam version)

Ok seriously, how the hell can you say this works on steam? it DOESN'T, no matter what i do it crashes, also with all the different versions of it (the one i need is 1.0006, and hey, nice, it doesn't work too). Running it with a crack only opens the possibility for you to at least get the activatedvoice, but then after a while it crashes. Fantastic. I sure as hell like the work caliber has done here, and i think it's great trainers he made (they have never failed until steam), but this here needs a trainer written for STEAM only.
