All right, so I bought Hell Gate on the 26th, downloaded the patch and got the newest trainer. Unfortunately, on Saturday (at least I believe that's when it started) after about a good hour or two of game play, the game crashed to the desktop with the generic "Hell Gate has encountered a problem and must close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" message. I thought nothing of it, but as time passed the crashes became more frequent. Then, about an hour ago I was playing and the game crashed mid-mission. I sighed, started the trainer and game up and began playing the same damn mission. This time however, the game crashed even sooner only it didn't even give me the error message. It just closed to the desktop.
I can't help but think this is somehow the trainer's fault...

Try playing without the trainer and see if the crashes continue. Remember to only use the trainer for what you absolutely NEED. Remember, the trainer has to inject new information into the game's memory space every time you use an option. The more often you do it, the better chance you have of stepping on the game itself or having it detect that you're trying to hack it. Make sure you disable any antivirus or antispyware as those also can detect the trainer and cause issues.

well I agree and disagree with Pwizard. First of all there is no need to keep injecting all the time using the WriteProcessMemory API. You can run this api through a timer and let it inject just ones than kill the timer so it stops injecting. That way your gamecode is changed but you aren't injecting to it all the time. And like he already suggested play the game without the trainer attached to it and see if it crashes than.

Several of the trainer's options are set to add (or subtract) to/from the user's amount upon each keypress such as adding/subtracting experience, skill points, levels, etc. If the user is constantly pressing those keys to go higher and higher then there are more chances for an issue to arise. However, we had to do it like that so that the user has less of a chance of going beyond the limit the game allows for saving the game.
Sunbeam, I mean Hotkey, I would appreciate you not taking every opportunity you have to either try and put me and/or the site down and/or promote whatever other agenda you may have with other sites. I'm trying to provide as much help as I can to the end user which may help in troubleshooting his/her problem, nothing more. Going into intricate details about how this or that works or can work doesn't help the typical layman end-user. If you prefer, I can have Caliber explain to you exactly what is and is not happening with his code. I'm merely generalizing and summarizing.

Woot you seem to know everything better. I was just trying to explain a thing or two, it was complex if you don't know the API at all, but if you guys would explain more, people wouldn't be asking so much. I am not sunbeam nor connected to any other sites. I just have a passion for trainers. Enough said my words don't seem to be appreciated here.

I seem to have similar problems, I only use the money cheat and the Infinite power and health options. I dare not mess with the experience as I fear my game being glitched and crashed to much. But I think I only crash because I leave it on as you say it has crashed when you do things...
Also, HotKeyH, you act and sound like someone unsatisfied with the trainers as if they were your own and you don't like the work put into them.

Well, I actually think it's caused by a memory leak in the game. Apparently the developers are working on a patch to fix it. In the meanwhile, turn your weather effects off. That might help.
