first off, i have a feeling this has been brought up multiple times and if it has been, im very sorry. secondly, i get the feeling that many people are having this problem, and thirdly, i have this problem with this trainer (1.2) and the Crysis mega trainer. Extremely irritaiting- the crashes (in this game) every (literally) 10 minutes. Is there any way I can stop this from happening? By the way, if it makes any difference, my OS is Vista. Thanks in advance

Make sure you disable any antivirus, antispyware, etc. Make sure you're running as Administrator. Try turning down the gfx settings on your games, etc.

Sorry but i tried everything. i disconnected from the internet, and i turned everything off. made sure i was running as administrator, and turned down various settings of the game, but still, no difference at all. Any other suggestions? i really love playing this game (even though i have the dumb censored U.S. version, have not heard a curse word yet)

Many many thanks again to the team for delivering the v1.2 trainer so soon (my v1.2 patch download wasn't already finished !).

fatfruitcake, when are you getting your crashes ?
loading screens, (auto)saves, fighting, talking... all the time ???

I'm a Vista user too,
and I get crashes too, but in my case they are independant from the trainer.

With the trainer launched or not, The Witcher crashes quite often, mainly during the loading screens or during the autosaves.
Sometimes when I open my inventory, too...



Though (and it will perhaps help you, fatfruitcake),
it crashes a lot less often than before v 1.2.

Under the 1.1a version, the trainer seemed to amplify the crashes during loading screens.

Try deactivating the options before a transition (getting inside a house, changing zone, etc.), and reactivating them after the loading screen, and let us know if it changes anything.

For me, under the 1.1a version, it helped drastically.

Have you tried using the no-cd fix? Your version may be slightly different than the one we used to make the trainer.

I have same issues, i have 1.2 of both (trainer/game) but it's every other cutscene so far 3 crashes. I'm on chapter II

This games tends to crash between loading scenes often. It probably has nothing to do with trainer, as I was experiencing same crashes without trainer. If you read other Witcher forum boards, most players experience same crash issues. Trainer works very well for me. I am using North American (censored) DVD version with 1.2 patch.
