Hi All,

love the site but haveing problems with console commands when I type in what is on the website for example set WarfareGame.Pawn_COGMarcus DefaultHealth 999999 I keep getting unrecognised class? I tried creating a txt document in the binaries folder with command lines in it but the exec command states it cant find the file??? even though it's there? anyone tell me why this is happening and give me some tips please.

You did put the text file into the default GoW root binaries folder right? Not the one in the my documents/my games one?
Where exactly did you try the command? in a level? In the main menu?
And make sure that there aren't any typos or too many/little spaces.

I have the same problem, so I'll just post this here if you guys don't mind...

I have had my cheats.txt in "D:\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\Binaries" and in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries".

Whenever I do exec cheats.txt, it sais "cannot find cheats.txt in ../Binaries/" or something like that.

I recall there being a bug with updating Gears of War, and it was fixed by going into the registry editor and editing the GoW path ....\Gears of War\binaries into ...\Gears of War\Binaries

No, I read that there was a problem with that so I already changed that registry key. Then I updated and started looking up cheats and I'd rather have them in a txt and no matter what I do, it doesn't work.

can you tell me what you mean by changing the registey key?? I mean I know what the registrey is but what are you saying I need to change. Oh the don't know if anyone else has this issue but the trainers crash the game 5 mins in, I take it this is down toi live but even when you are playing without live the trainers still crash the game, I know it's the trainers because I have been playing without them for 2 hours with no problems.

You sure that the problem isn't in your text file?
And have you installed the game on another partision that your default one? Or in any other directory structure than the default one?

You should be able to find the registry edit fix over at the official GoW forums, but I can't help you on that as I don't remember where i last saw it.

BTW If you're on Vista do you both have admin rights? Or have you tried giving the game admin priviledges? Just a thought...

I don't really know or have any miracle cure for this, but maybe you'd like to try my cheat text file, it's really extensive and has a lot of stuff in it that you maybe would like. just add me in msn and I'll give it to you.
(Or you could wait until PWizard MAYBE posts the one I submitted over here not long ago)

Caboose666, dont know what i did but retyped the commands word for word exatcly as printed and bingo!! it worked and it's crash free so you where right and I must have been typeing them wrong.. thanks for your help mate, to everyone haveing issues with commands you have to type them exacley as on the site (including caps etc) it should work do what i did and do one word at at time.
