I beat the game and am currently doing SP career. My planes are the F-16(default) and the F-22 Raptor.

the strings or strings what ever u call them the elite Esto squad?
I am currently using the F-22 Raptor Ingigo wing (DLC) on evey mission for now on the indigo i think came out today and i love it.. the smoke of the missles is BLUE! its cool plus its got maxed air to air,air to ground, Slightly almost maxed speed and the same for the other 3 (mobility,Defense,Stability)

Finished this game on Ace mode. Was hoping the mission Command Craft would've been tons harder.
