I understand. As you know we had to work around Windows Live in order to even get the trainer working as they're constantly scanning the game for any changes, even in single player.
You could try manually renaming your UAWEA.exe.cat file to something else and then just try running the game (no trainer). See if you game runs without crashing (receiving an error about Live being disabled is normal). If that works, then try ALT+TAB, run the trainer (1.00.88 ver) and then do the F1 and see what happens. If your game crashes just by renaming the Live file then you may have something else going on like one of the Vista protections watching the file. Let us know your results.

I think the problem is video related. I did as you suggested. I renamed the bat file then started the bat file then run the game. I get the windows live multiplayer error. I then click ok the game loads but in a minimized version. When I enter options I notice that no resolution is set. When I select a resolution the game enters full screen. But when I try to select a campaign or try to continue a campaign the game freezes. I have to CTRL ALT DELETE to exit the game. In task manager the game is shown as not responding. I MEAN THE CAT FILE NOT BAT FILE SORRY.

Ah.. is there an option to have the game run in windowed mode instead of full screen? maybe turn that on and set the resolution lower than your screen res. See if that at least corrects the freeing issue then can test the trainer again.

Does the game tell you that Xbox Live is disabled when you run the game? If not then you're either running the wrong batch file or the batch file is not in the correct file location. The game WILL MOST DEFINITELY CRASH if Windows Live is not disabled before running the trainer.
You can also do what I suggested above which is to manually rename your catalog file to disable Windows Live.
