I don't think anyone has found the real drift king yet. It doesn't seem that anyone (besides me) is even trying out any of the cheap cars yet. (nudge nudge, wink wink)

But in all honesty I have tried your Chevelle, and yeah, nothing special. Tried the Z06 and C6, nothing special.

The 2003 BMW M3 was actually pretty monstrous for drifting, but only on the more open tracks imo. I didn't find it super great on the short-stretch tighter tracks because the rear tire pressure had to be raised a HUGE amount to get it anywhere near the A86's abilities, that it loses the ability to accelerate properly.

I have a feeling that once you try a few more cars, your opinion of your Vette is going to change much in the same way your views on the Chevelle have.

I'm hoping to find a car that can pwn my A86 too. I'm not sold on any one car, I just wanna find the best one.

Well, then you should really use the savegame for ALL the cars. Then you will find one that fit you.The Carrera GT is best for drag.Braking system is awful.I tried everything to make it better, but that's how the car was built. It's a very fast car,and is more for open rodes, like highway's.The best game for this car is Most Wanted.
And the AE86 is a very good car.I didnt sold it yet.I use it as a backup car.

Finding an ideal car for drift would be difficult due to the various tracks...some are really tight and some have lousey cornering. As I see it the tight tracks would call for a small rear drive turner. The muscles and bigger cars can handle wide tracks but are easily totaled and uncontrollable on narrow tracks and crappy corners. As for the cheapy cars...I'm game enough to try them. I did try the Corolla for drag, and was stunned at how well it dragged. I had it maxed. As for the Vette in drift,I used it on a wide track. Granted, the Vette would be a wipe-out on a narrow track and couldn't handle crappy corners.

I'm buying another Chevelle for drift. She's a really good car,but when I drifted the Z06 I was spoiled rotten and couldn't imagine driving anything else.

    I beg to differ. >_>

I knew from the beginning that tuners dominate the drift scene, and its not just a matter of personal taste. Its fact that drifting started with tuners, not muscle cars like the Chevelle SS and the Corvette that were designed for straight-line drags only. I knew that if I wanted a drift car, it would have to be a tuner.

I have tried the AE86, and the reason I sold it is because its main weakness is lack of power. Big time. Even by tuning the CRM and the start/end boost, I could only make out around 470BHP. Whilst it was controllable, and very finely balanced, it needed the extra grunt to get that extra 1000, or even 2000 in a drift race.

I then switched to RX-7. I found it to be even better balanced, and coupled with that extra grunt it was blissful poetry in motion... albeit sideways. I didn't find the extra 1000, I found 3000. My average drift score in the RX is around 3000-7000, depending on the permutations of the drift track.

So I seriously recommend it. Nuckfuts, you will be absolutely blown away.
