i had to reformat my pc and then reinstall CoD i lost all my rank and have to start all over is there a way to get my rank back.

What was your rank before?
It was deleted probably because it didnt save the MP data very well.Always make backup's of savegames.

It would suck if he was a commander, it takes a long time to get back up to it.

Yeah.Is it the lvl 55?
I'm still 1st Lieutenant II.Almost Captain.

i was lv33 and mp pc crashed from that bug EvE had in there patch pc would not boot up.even from the xp disc. kept saying no hard disc found. so had to do a system restore and lost everything.what hurts the most was all my weapons are gone starting over.everyone being so much higher i might as well be throughing rocks at them lol.

The problem with the rank is that its saved on your own pc so if you format or uninstall the game your rank is lost to prevent this make a back-up on disk (or other back-up divice)of the following file : C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\#your profile name# mpdata. When the game is reinstalles just put the file back in the same location
