Pro Street reminds me of Juiced...crowds alongside the tracks,a festive environment...and then there's the similarity to Carbon, without the cops and free roam, and by the way,it sucks not having free roam. All you can do is race and customize cars. Pro Street is fun,but as I see it,its a sloppy game, and cheap, much like Juiced. The cars don't look as real as I was led to believe. Carbon and Most Wanted had the most realistic looking cars of any race game I've played, and I've played many. Need for Speed should've stuck with street racing. Anyways,Pro Street has that Juiced feel and experience to it. Cheap and sloppy.

Maybe that's because you're playing on the PC.

On the 360, it feels way different. The cars look better than those in Gran Turismo, the physics of the game feel VERY realistic and it all sums up to be very enjoyable. Cheap and sloppy? No, I think it is one of the best NFS games ever.

And remember, Juiced focuses on illegal street racing. ProStreet is 100% legal. And this game feels like an in-depth racing game, almost like Forza Motorsport. Juiced is more of an arcade game for me.

I agree, very much, in fact.
This was a very rushed game, they tried too hard to get it out for christmas.

OK, well it's got some good points 1 and a half:
The smoke, OK well it's some graphics and took a while to get it to look so good, but that's the only thing in this game worth seeing.

the physics is good, but i think it would have been better if they didn't include such a long "Car Wreckage" scene. 3 or 4 seconds maybe, not when your car stops moving, which could be 10 or 15 seconds or if your drivig the Pegani, like me, from 20 to 30 seconds, it's fun to watch *sometimes* but you should have and option to quit the cutscene and then hit enter to continue.

    Only two actually.

The graphics are not as good as i was led to believe.
The AI is slow, really slow, i mean snail slow, or maybe i'm just too good, but i doubt that, it's just slow. i've won every race so far, well actually i've completed the game. if you knew me you'd know what i mean, i cant stay of the rails, so i take the corners at about 10 m/ph in first gear. and drive at about between 90-150 all the other time. at least in carbon the AI put up a bit of a challenge.
ProStreet is good but it has nothing to do with the *street* theme. They should have stayed with that theme, it was good, everyone liked it. If i worked for a pc games mag i just couldn't give it good report.
ALSO (Now i'm coming to the end of my half-harted report, if i had more time i'd hit this game even harder.)
The Bugatti Vayron or Veyron, this car was supposed to be in this game. EA half released this game. They left out most of the cars they said they were going to release. This is not a good selling point. they should be ashamed of themselves. alot of people i know, (Who own ProStreet) that would be well over a thousand people, are also disapointed at EA. if only EA would read this post.

So in answer to your question, no your not alone, Stanged.

I'm sure there will not be anymore posts in this thread, i'd be suprised if there was.

Well the moral of the story is "If it ain't borke, don't fix it"

I have to say it, i just have to:
    EA Games,
"Go back to making Street racing racing games, keep the cops, and the free roam, and other racers (Not like Most Wanted, too fast) just make sure they're not cripples behind the wheel, you'll ruin your reputation" this is just my views, if anyone has a problem with it, i'll take this post off.

He has a point. But the game can surprise you,if you add the new cars.Believe me.When you have awesome, new cars to drive, you change your opinion about the game.I will post the information on the General ProStreet Discussions board.
You wont think bad about the game that much. The cars cheer you up.

    Give the game another try.

I already tried the thing to add the cars to the garage by overwriting some of the cars in the garage.

it didn't cheer me up at all, some of the cars are good, but the AI is still to slow for me, the graphics are still a little pixilated in places and i hava the settings on max with a Radeon X1900XTX 512mb x2 crossfire graphics card.
and i have problems on the wind tunnel when trying to autosculpt some the spoilers on some of the cars.

so... i'm not cheered up. really.
Until they officially bring out a Prostreet 2 with free roam and all the cars the *Said* they'd release, Bugatti, AND fix the windtunnel probs, AND fix the AI, then i doubt i'll be cheered up.

and when i say ProStreet 2 i don't mean a patch, i mean a second ProStreet with all the flaws removed. also why call it Pro*Street* when it doesn't have a street in it or for that matter have any street races in it.

all i can say is that this is a very twisted game...the name is twisted because it includes the word street when there are tracks...not even a tiny little portion of a street and many other problems

we've discussed on a board on nfs carbon about this nfs about what songs cars and others to have (i posted there like an idiot a whole list of cars)

i don't know why they have to rush the making of games like this...even if it takes 5 years to make a game, but at least to be worth it's time not come up with a rushed game that isn't even finished as if a year and a half or maybe 2 years weren't enough...i guess u guys would've agreed to wait 2 years for the making of the game

i understand it's need for speed...but no need for speed in the making of the game...i think that the meaning of the word nfs caracterizes EA at making fast and unfinished games like the godfather which is also made by EA and has not only one but a few more others

True enough, the A1 cars are slow. There's not much challenge. Once you get passed the A1s you can expect to win, even if you have a level 1 car and they have level 3. I win grips like crazy, and its not cuz I'm a great driver. I run run off the road quiet often, hit obstacles, and slam into the rear of the A1s. No matter,I win. Of course I drive derby style. Its fun to smash up the A1 cars. Yep,I used to play Flatout 2 lots and still use the tricks of that trade.

@troodon: this game was developed in the course of 2 years. It started before Carbon. I'd hardly say it was rushed.

@all: play this game on a console and it will blow your minds. I've said this before, but the next-gen nature of ProStreet does not compliment the not-so next-gen nature of the PC. This game really is the epitomy of all racing games. Period.
