Tried to do some editing with the method where you UnRaR the units.scd and then editing them with notepad then storing them back in with WinRaR.
*refer to Supreme Commander Message Board for method*
Apparently it doesnt fully work. Only my ACU seems to be getting the works. Not the rest of my editing.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks.
Ok it works for Skirmish. But not for Campaign :S

Hi,
I think that you will find the Campaign mode works differently, mods are fully disabled, the data could be coming from else where in the game code.
Trainer would probably be the best way to go for the Campaign.

Ok, i've tried the method that Death Gamer suggested. Slightly more effective. But not fully editable.
Now only aircraft and some buildings are modified the rest seem to be the same.
Death Gamer, does your editing fully work for you?

well dear it does work for every unit and building even for experimental units or buildings well i have a file fully edited for all three playable campaign factions every unit or building cost 1 mass and 1 energy and will build instantly i will upload it and post link here all you have to do is download it and replace it with your original mods.scd folder located in gamedata folder in your supreme commander main folder and wolla it will also work for your saved games.
ALWAYS MAKE BACK UP OF YOUR ORIGINAL FILES

OK i've found out my error.
Got it to work like a charm. It was because i did not store and update the file.
What i did to get it to work was i made a backup first of mod.scd then edited the one that was in the game dir.
Just open with winrar, then open the campaign text file and edit away, when done, save, it will ask about replacing + overwriting (or something along those lines). Just choose yes and wait for perhaps 3 minutes or so and voila all done.
As for the reply regarding the ACU and SCU upgrades, you gotta do it with the units.scd text files inside.
It's something like a compromise, you either use the mod.scd or the units.scd.
If you use mod.scd you get to edit virtually anything, but if you edit the units.scd, only your commander edits work.
