There are TWO DIFFERENT 1.1 trainers, designed for different versions. Use the correct one and/or try both with different combinations!

Not sure what to tell you. You can try running the trainer at the splash screen. You can also try running the game in a window and then doing ALT+tab and starting the trainer after the game has started.

Doesn't seem to be working for me neither. I'm running on WinXP SP2, non-steam version of the game patched to v1.1 (Bioshock Version 1.1 Patch Worldwide Retail) & a v1.1 no-dvd fix.

I've tried launching the trainer after the program is launched up & then loading a game, it loads but just before entering the world, the game crashes. Tried loading first & then launching the trainer, and it just crashes tabbing back into the game.

Seem to be doing everything the trainer & troubleshooting guides tell me to but I can't get it to work And yes I am using the v1.1 non-steam trainer.

You need the steam trainer if using the no-cd fix. launch the trainer during the splash screen.

Hi PWizard, thanks for creating the trainer, Unfortunately I'm unable to get it to work and I've read through all the instructions as well as all the posts in this thread.

I'm running v 1.1 International Retail(Not the German/UK). I'm using the No-DVD patch. I read I should use the Steam version of the trainer for the no-dvd patch, which I am. When I load the game, I'm at the splash screen, which I then alt-tab out, and enable the trainer. At the bottom of the trainer window it says "Bioshock not found yet. Please RUN game." I'm not sure why I'm getting that error as Bioshock is clearly running. I've tried opening the trainer at the splash screen, as well as with a loaded saved game, but it continues to say "Bioshock not found yet". I was running the trainer from my desktop, but I moved it into the \Release folder where the bioshock.exe file is to see if it would finally see the game, but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Hi PWizard, oddly enough, the only way I got the trainer to show "Bioshock.exe trainer ready" at the bottom of the trainer window was to load the trainer BEFORE loading Bioshock. This is contrary to what the instructions say...I'm stumped.

Once it was loaded, I found I could not get any of the "activated!" sounds to work except for using the Shift A-K keys, however they did not actually enable the plasmid option when I went to visit a Gene bank. And the Number keys 1-9 did not say activated, nor did they enable the cheats like god mode and infinite eve.

I did notice that the trainer would state "activated" whether or not Bioshock was even running. Guess it isn't really checking and ensuring that they cheats are really activated, they sound off simply if the key combinations were pressed, nothing more.

I used to program a few years back, I'm a little embarrassed that I haven't been able to get this trainer to work.

Hit miltonic... sounds like you may have something blocking the trainer from attaching to the game correctly. Antivirus, antispyware, Vista permissions, etc. Make sure numlock is on and that you're using the numpad keys and not the keys at the top of the keyboard.
