i noticed that the assassin's guild (dark brotherhood) actually existed!!...in a way

Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in the late 1930's
(i don't know exactly when and i'm too lazy to look it up) but the people who assassinated him where members of a serbian secret sociaty called the Black Hand!

i learned this at the begining of the school year and have forgotten about it till now, i just now looked on wikipedia(don't trust it though) and it mentions this under black hand

i just thought this was cool

Actually, assassin was 19 years old serbian from Bosnia, Gavrilo Princip, member of secret organisation "Young Bosnia". He killed heir Archduke Franz Ferdinard in Saraevo (Bosnia), june 28. 1914. And this is how World War I started.

Yes, but the "Crna Ruka"(Black Hand on english) gave weapons to the "Mlada Bosna"(Young Bosnia on English). I noticed it too. The "Crna Ruka" also took down the king Aleksandar Obrenovic and his queen Draga Obrenovic on the may turnover.

very true...odd though, that a fued between two countries blew up into the largest know war of its time.

But there are also quite a few childrens books called the black hand. Detective stories and stuff like that. I mean, what have those to do with WW 1 and a dark brotherhood...
