try doing this use small gear ratios that way it will let you spin your tire more than compare to the tall gears.I got about 2000 points more doing this

The 70 Chevelle will outdrift delectable Ryo's sweet little Evo. I can get anywhere from 5000 to 8000 points with my Chevy. I haven't drifted with sexy Ryo,but I know my Chevelle could defeat that darling Evo,no problem.

Actually, try adding more tire pressure, and balance the tire pressure between the front and rear, so you get whatever front-to-rear slippage ratio that works best for you.

Increased tire pressure will always trump tuning gears. The gears however can be tuned so that you can hit the "sweet spot" on various RPMs for a few different speeds that you like to hit your turns at. Keeping the RPMs high is the main thing.

Speaking of keeping the RPMs high, don't use automatic transmission for drifting. That's a given though, I should hope.
