Hi,
I need help to pass Ryo on drifting please. I keep on being 500 points short EVERYTIME i even tried cheating, so i bought a lot of different cars, but i still cant beat him.
Which cars did you use ? And how do you tune a drift car ?
thanks

I use an almost stock Supra, no nitrous, minimal tuning, stage 2 or 3 forced induction I dont remember and a wide body kit. I do about 3,8-4,5k points on any track
P.S. Forgot to add the fine tuning of the turbo is all the way to low then all the way to high good luck! I haven't beaten him yet cause I can't do a wheelie for more than 150m Beaten all three kings except the drag king and Ryo

pwn drag = ViperRT10 pwn drift = Supra pwn speed = Zonda pwn grip = Z4-M or Zonda (depends on the track & driver, Z4-M is a *very* forgiving car right out of the box)
exception: you use a trainer to force the Lambo to rear-wheel in Showroom to use it for drift. I've done this and trust me, the Lambo still pwns the drift, completely.
other exception: there are also these cars in the game which are available or will be available eventually through online purchase and/or if someone trains it: Porsche 997GT3 Porsche 997GT3RS Porsche CarreraGT Koeniggseg CCX Dodge Challenger Concept Aston Martin DB9 Aston Martin DBR9 Lancia Delta Lamborghini Gallardo Acura Integra S Seat Leon Cupra McLaren F1 Acura NSX Audi R8 Honda S2000 Mercedes SL65 Bugatti Veyron
without being able to test it, it *could* change things like so: drag = tossup between ViperRT10 and S2000 drift = Supra (and Lambo if you hack it) speed = Bugatti Veyron grip = toss up between CarreraGT or Zonda (or maybe 997GT3RS) it really depends on how far those car's parts are able to be upgraded, and how they relate to previous NFS titles they have been in.
note: where's the Dodge Neon? Did anyone try drifting the Neon in Need For Speed Underground 2? It was off the freaking chain. :P Seriously, next time you have that loaded, try it. You'll get the best drift scores you've ever seen in that game.

I use the Silvia, it took me two tries to beat him, with a score of around 4k if I remember right. You just have to get used to the car you're using and learn the controls, get used to the rythem of the track you have to race on. I've been able to get scores upwards of 9 thousand on some of the Drift King challenge tracks.

well i finally did finish the game, that was the hardest part for me, is getting past the drift stage against ryo, well i cant really helped too much cos i dont think i can replicate it, it was pure luck
but i can tell you what i did differently than normall:
first off this was the only stage/level i used a trainer, so i got myself loads of money, plus i used "unlockallthings" cheat.
Then i bought the 350z and upgraded it to the max, stage 4 and stuff - and all previous drifts i was using automatic gearbox, but i tried out manual and i got 800 points extra at least per drift - and i stayed between 2nd and 3rd gear all the way.
I was quite shocked when i passed the stage - but i not complaining
