the cheats didnt work 4 me untill i changed the maxspare for magsize

Did it give you a "Unrecognized class" error?
You see those commands with the Content word in them (like the boomshot and the buddies who change/die in some point of the game) well they aren't in every map, in the maps that they are in, the command works, in the others they don't.

Please explain this "unrecognized class" error further. That is what I get regardless of which \binaries folder I put 'Cheats.txt' in. I have 2 lines in the file for Marcus and for Dom at this point and the console runs both when cheats.txt is exec'd but both give the "unrecognized class" error. I need to cheat at this point in my single player off line game--I'm tired of dying over and over again at my current point.

Is it possible that Live updated the game removing the console cheats? Would uninstalling and reinstalling the game and making certain I stay off line prevent the update...if that is what is happening? I'm not interested in achievements or online play at all. However I need my current save--I'm not going to play Chapter 1 and part of Chapter 2 all over again.

What about the Trainer(s)? Are they reliable now?

I'm bumming out on GoW. Help. Thanks.
