Guys being protective is sweet, one of my best friends is a guy and he is really protective about me, he yelled at a guy for being mean to me.

Posessive is a massive turn-off and is pathetic.

@42 what do you mean watch a movie?

BTW Servivor it's good that you compromised. That other guy sounds pathetic. If you ever get a chance hit him!

most girls that i have gone out with say that being protective is like acting childish. i had 1 g/f that was about to screw up and I put my foot down saying that if she couldn't fix this problem i was going to get rid of her and i did i didn't care anymore. She sterted to treat me bad all the time.

Well, no **** dude. Thats being possessive. You told her that you would leave her if she did something. You should have said that if she ****ed up, you would help her fix it.

Good point, but it actually depends on what it was she was gonna do.
You cant fix some things, such as cheating.

here's how i'm protective over gf's and just friends that are girls, if i see a guy abusing her in any way whether it is physically, emotionally or mentally then there is a good chance that i kick the crap out of them. As far as letting a girl do what she wants i could care less as long as she doesn't cheat on me. I see myself as a bodyguard in cases where the girls are being attacked in any way. Always help a girl out if she is having an issue or a bad day, try to make her laugh and make it better. Don't be controlling it just ruins things and makes them think less of you.

@ Servior: u cant really just tell a girl "If u mess up, then it's over", and u cant really get all panicky when u see her talking to another guy. being protective isn't bad, but being overprotective is really bad.

    This is true.

Ok, I just got a date with one of the most popular chicks in school. How does an emo-labeled Underclass rebel do this? Simple. Being nice. Compliments, getting her to trust me, then asking. Do the same thing with your girl. Be nice and sweet. Bring the issue up. But dont get all mean about it.
