Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Message Board  

Hey,
Im new to cheathappens and i need help when i try to install COH:OPPOSING FRONTS i get past the key code and all that i change it to C: drive then i hit install and it goes threw the bar in one sec and then it says can not install COH


An error has occurred whileconfiguring essential DirectX components. The install cannot continue. Please contact THQ technical support.(Error code 10258)


Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at anothertime, please run setup again.

Click finish to exit the wizard

at the time i am not running the installation on a admister's account do i have to run it on one for it to work anyone???

Hmmmmm. Strange. Try runing it on the Administrator.If it won't work ask somebody.

Also disable any antivirus before you start installing it.

Nope did not work was vrius wall was turned off it said same thing anybody eles???

I have not tryed to install it on a admin's account yet i will do that later today

anyone eles have tips to install it?

hello bud i used to work in a game store now if its a cd copy it sounds like the disk maybe faulty it does happen a lot so try and get the disk changed. if its a download im affriad im not sure.

Is your disk scratched? I found mine scratched a little bit on the edges when I tried to install it. I did a Disc Doctor thing and it worked perfectly. No problems with my install. With the DVD's scratches can make your disk not work, the CD's not so much but the DVD's do give you problems sometimes...

not that bad it just looks dusty a bit and it lookes like this thick line like a inch darker then the rest of the disk il clean it and try again...
