Ever since Flagship put out that d***ned Patch 0 - none of the trainers works at all anymore on my computer

The old trainer worked like a charm, and as advertised. I started 2 new characters for the patch & this trainer (one at level 1, one just made lvl 2). Nothing works on either, to include the health & power orb lock.

Btw - I had just downloaded & installed the latest "Patch 0 Trainer) (DX9) and installed & tried it out before finally posting here.

I am running Vista 32 Bit, and am running theis trainer as an administrator.

Any advice?

Which version of the game do you have? retail normal, collectors edition, digital download, etc? Have you checked the version number on your exe files and matched against the version on the trainer graphic? Are you running the game through the launcher? have you tried running both the game and the trainer directly from the .exe in the SP folder? Have you tried running game first then trainer? are you hearing activated when pressing F1 at the main menu? any details like these that you can provide will help.

I'm trying to use this trainer to hit lvl 50 fast and test all of the skills and attributes. I'm confused how to do this if you have to still kill monsters to get xp with the experience hack. Am I missing something? How exactly does the experience options work, the readme is very vague.

When using the trainer for the first time. i had success adding skill points. but after i quitted. then tried to go into the program again with this trainer. every option dont work

i tried using back the previous version and the things work except for the skill option. is it a bug that it doesnt work?

i also tried removing and replacing the same trainer. the trainer still dont work after the successful first try

Sorry. Let me try to clear things up a bit

I run the trainer first, then use the launcher to launch the game. Btw - I run the trainer as "an administrator" seeing as how I have Vista 32 Bit OS installed and am using 9X graphics.

Anyway - I'm running the standard Retail version of the game I purchased from EB/Gamestop - I DID NOT intentually patch the game at all (really not caring for the Patch 0) - the launcher indicated the update was there one time only - & proceeded to install the patch itself because I've never seen the launcher indicate there was an update to the game since. Not sure exactly how to check as to the actual game version this thing is now.

Anyway - at the start screen - I press F1 & DO hear the "activated". Then when I actually choose a character & enter the game - I do hear a corresponding "activated" (or "deactivated if I press Num 1 or 2 again) on all numbers 1 thru 7.

I followed Cal's suggestions to keep hitting 3 thru 6 after each kill - & tested the trainer on both characters from the beginning through the Holborn station & even into completing the Tottenham Station quests.

To make a long story short - if I get hit - I lose hit points; if I use spells or powers, I lose power points; when I do level up - I'm leveling as normal for the game, with normal skill & attribute points, and I'm not getting any Palladium other than what is normal. The only exception was once when I used the repeat key hits in Tottenham - that particular time - the game crashed.

I haven't bothered with the new trainer past Tottenham Station seeing as how it doesn't appear to be working. Strange that the previous pre-patch one worked so well .

Updated game to Patch 0, and it worked fine with the originally posted trainer. However with the newly updated trainer posted today (with the new skills), it doesn't activate.

When I hit F1 at the main menu I don't get the 'activated' verbal prompt. Did this behavior go away?

I would recommend that both of you check the actual version numbers on your game executables.

Go to your hellgate install folder and the SP_x86 folder. You can right click on the exe files, either:

hellgate_sp_dx9_x86
or
hellgate_sp_dx10_x86

and choose properties. Go to the details tab and check the file version. It will either be 1.10.xxx for the original or 1.40.xxx for patch0. It needs to match which trainer you're running. We had trouble getting the patch on one of our systems and the launcher thought we had already patched but it never took.

We had to download and run this:
downloads.hellgatelondon.com/patches/launcher/LauncherQuickPatcher.exe


..to actually get our game to patch correctly and update the files. We're also not sure what effect having a cracked or no-cd version and then installing the patch may have on the game.
