Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Message Board  

Yes, people say that you should just boot the game with no internet connection. Well, using that method I've run into complications involving the original company of heroes.

The online activation on my previous install was not a problem. But, since my game was patched to 2.02, I had to reinstall. After the reinstall, I patched to 2.01, and booted without internet. I was prompted to verify Opposing Fronts when I clicked on a mission. The verification was successful. Well, Company of Heroes (Original) was still locked. I had the disk and CD key. I selected the campaign for CoH, entered the CD key, selected "Retail" after inserting the CD, then, as if the game doesn't even try to validate my disk, says that the media could not be validated. I've tried multiple times, nothing works! When I try to login, I am immediately prompted to either download the next patch, or "cancel".

This is extremely frustrating ! I might have been able to stick with 2.02 and waited till November 20, but version 2.03 is out now! The only way I can activate Company of Heroes is online (and after patching all the way up >.<), because the stupid offline activation service is bugged! I really had plans in my schedule to allot some time to playing the game with cheats, instead of working on my essay due in two weeks and studying for my test tomorrow. I've wasted hours on this! How long will I be blocked from getting a trainer for this game, they update it every time I turn around, and an update patch that's to be released to the public a few weeks after the previous one is released, so the previous version of the patch becomes unusable! I guess this is what you call blackmail marketing...

Unfortunately we have no control over when or how often the game companies release patches. Some games never get patches (like Bioshock) and some get them every few weeks. Each patch requires us to re-examine and re-test all of the code when we update the trainer so it's a lot of work to get the updated trainer out as quickly as possible.

We've tried to keep the membership fee as reasonable as possible while still allowing us to continue to pay for our programming services. With 30-40 trainers and updates being programmed each month, I believe it's certainly worth it.

Tis; alright. I'm mad with THQ, not Cheathappens. I'd gladly get a lifetime membership, but my grandparents/parents won't approve of me paying for online memberships. Maybe I can convince em' cause it sure would be worth it with the kind of trainers you guys put out! Plus, headaches like the one I mentioned above would be eliminated. Thought I'd post this message before someone else did anyway.

Hm.. is there any feat that allowed some free member to buy just 1 - 2 trainers without getting into membership services ???
I want to ask about is there any service in this site that allowed me to just buy some trainer WITHOUT joining this site ??? of course, with some fair & affortable price too
Maybe using E-gold or Paypal & send the trainer to email ???

Actually, there is a big trouble & problem for my life is there is someone knowing me spend some money again to join any gaming site

The price they charge for an annual fee is alot lower then some other sites that charge.

How small of a price could be charged fo 1 trainer? I don't see that happening because if they were to charge per trainer, then they would be liable & responsible for that trainer working on your comp. Right?

What if you would buy just a specific trainer for a game & it doesn't work for some reason? They would be taking up alot of their time trying to resolve an issue with your trainer even though it may not be the trainer, but the users internal PC problem.

That is taking away man hours that can be used to put out updated trainers for those of us who have unlimited memberships.

The team here at CH does an outstanding job on keeping up to date on the games & also on new releases. I would hate for them to get bogged down & slow on new trainers because somebody who just wants 1 trainer, can't get it to work.

Not sure where you are from, but I know in the USA, you can pretty much go to Eckerd pharmacy, Walmart, etc & your bank & buy Prepaid VISA or MC gift cards that work just like a credit Card. You can actually keep putting money into cetain ones also.

Cuz if other version trainer doesn't work SO THE ONLY TRAINER WILL WORK is for the original version !
Its happened to me A LOT !!!

C&C 3, W40K, CoH, LoTR, GRAW, Bf42 and so many more

The trainer that work in my PC ONLY work for original version
Despite there is a lot of bugs (but as long as the game is so magnificent & superb like that, its still playable & acceptable)

The main problem is the strange system of making trainer for this cool game !
Its so weird that the trainer for the original version doesn't comes out first concerned that the game comes out in 2.100 FIRST, not 2.101 !
So its truly a misfortune that the first trainer for the game is for 2.101 version not 2.100 !

So sad ... with my PROBLEM, I don't allowed to join these site, oh no...

I hope the trainer is still there when I get the PERMISSION & overcome my problem to join this site

What's the problem? I have version 2.103 of the game and i'll wait for the trainer and i must wait for the crack.And i'm not
blaming CheatHappens for that.

Yeah, thats definitely an easy & right thing to do but when your game started to gone wrong, oh no...

My game NOW can't be updated !!!
Heck, I had updated my game even twice so why this time, I can't update my game NOW ???
They keep tell me to uninstalled the game cuz they say they can't recognzied my game version ?
WTF kind of explanation is that ?


To end all the problem, need trainer 2.100 now PLZ... ?
