has anyone read the book that the game is based on, the last wish? the book is brilliant so i am going to try to get the game and see if the game is anything like it.

Hrmm...I didn't have any crashes until literally the very end of Act III. I had another 2 in Act IV. These seemed to be random crashes that happened during a level load. Now I've hit a repeatable crash half way through Act V. From what I understand, patch v1.1a was supposed to fix an Act V crash bug that wasn't properly fixed in the original v1.1 patch. I wonder if this is the same bug. Either way, looks like I can't proceed until it is resolved.

EDIT: Looks like the Forceware beta 169.01 drivers were the cause of my crashes - likely all of them as the first crash I experienced was around the time I installed them. Fixed my repeatable Act V crash by upgrading to the new 169.04 drivers - www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.04.html

I only have *Intel P4 2.66 GHZ
* 512 DDR2 RAM
*GeForce 8500 GT
*no problem with HDD
*no problem with OS
*no problem with DirectX
*as well as DVD-ROM

Well I hope this game won't heat up my PC as hot as LAVA...

Personally i think that its the best RPG game of the year, how ever there are still many bugs in the game, what crash your computer, that kinda make it anoying to play the game, however i believe that if they fix these, it will be an awesome game and deffinatly worth buying

Ok .. You read all 5 books ?? The Wither has 5 parts.

Hmm i know original Polish tittles so i try to translate them. But my English is not very good ;p

Saga about the Wither:

1.Blood of elfin.
2.Time of contempt.
3.Baptism of fire.
4.Tower of swallow.
5.Lady of the Lake. (Or something like that ;p)

There are also packages of tales:

1.The Wither
2.Last wish.
3.Sword of destination.
4.Something is finished,something is begun.

Oh! And the Game kick asses. I don't have any crashes. In this moment i have really stel and silver swords master (IV Act)

And sorry for my english Its not my native language.
