Hi-

I updated the game to 1.17 then I put on the trainer and put it in xp mode, it still does not want to work. I have Vista Ultimate.

Hi,

I'm running the game on my vista ultimate with 1.7 patch and the trainer works fine with me.

I have done the same thing, but the trainer still will not work, any ideas??

Are you running Visa Ultimate 32-bit or 64-bit? Also, have you tried launching the trainer by right clicking it and choosing to "Run as Administrator"? The Windows XP compatibility mode might actually hinder it working unless you're running the game in XP compatibility mode. I ran into that problem with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and it's trainer. I was running the game normal and the trainer in XP compatibility mode. No Dice.

Another thing, you may want to try launching the trainer with your antivirus TEMPORARILY disabled. It may be interfering with the trainer's functionality. DO THIS AS A LAST RESORT! I would hate for you to get a virus over a game trainer.


Last but not least, make sure the trainer doesn't require you to hit "F1" to enable it! I've had trainers that had me pulling my hair out to get them to work when all it was was a simple press of F1 to get it activated!


Finally, my thoughts about trainers and cheats. I play games for their enjoyment, not their frustration. Many games I view as an interactive Movie with me being the main charactor and in control of the story. Games that I cheat in I want to play for the story and the fun of it. If cheating makes it fun, then cheat. I do have games that I play for the challenge and do not cheat through them. With those games (Mainly First person Shooters) I will play them through a few times if it's a good game. Then I will play through a few times CHEATING. I learned a long time ago,there are some games that have stuff hidden in them that you simply cannot get to with out cheating!

Make sure that you are running both the game and the trainer in Administrator mode. To do this, right click each of the exe and select "Run as Administrator".

Alternately, you can disable User Account Control completely by the following steps:

1. Start > Control Panel
2. Select the User Accounts icon.
3. Select User Account Control settings
4. Set it to off.
5. Restart your computer.

I have done all that you both suggested and it still does not work. I have a 32 bit. I have an intel duel core, almost 4 GB of memory, lots of hard drive and no problems with any other games but this, the cheathappens trainers always work, but not with this. Could I have a bad disc, as it has always given trouble, even on my xp home???
