Mark your calenders for November 2nd, because that's when the second (and hopefully first ever successful) Cheat Happens Halo 3 Ultimate Epic Showdown will take place!
I will update this post with the gametypes we will play. From standard Team Slayer and Capture the Flag to custom game variants made with Forge.
If you would like your gametype to be added, please post in detail what it is about on this topic. I will not accept ALL of them...just the really cool ones. If it sounds interesting, I will ask you (via PM) to host it on your file share so that I may download it and check it out for myself.
If you would like to join this party, be sure to have the above date free, the Gamer Tags listed here -
Link - in your friends list and a confirmation post on this topic.
Added Note: This party will be a come and go feature because of the time zones.
Now then, remember November 2nd! On to the gametypes!
Gametype #1: Rocket RaceDescription: This is a VIP type game. Up to eight teams of two with one VIP (on each team) who rides on the back of a Mongoose. The driver must then drive their VIP to each way point listed on the map. Vehicles are indestructible, players are invulnerable BUT they may be assassinated.
Requirements: Become familiar with the maps Sandtrap and Valhalla along with being able to shoot rockets accurately from the back of a mongoose and be able to drive quickly and accurately on a Mongoose in said maps.
Gametype #2: RaidDescription: Offensive versus defense Team Slayer in Valhalla only. Teams can range anywhere from 3 people to 8. The match consists of 5-7 rounds with 1 life per round. Each person starts with a magnum. Lake side base is offensive team with offensive weapons/equipment and vehicles put accordingly in the base. Waterfall side base is defensive and is meant to stay in the area of the base (not past the river) and defend themselves from the attackers. This base holds defensive weapons and equipment but NO vehicles. There are no other weapons or spawn points on the map.
Requirements: Become familiar with Valhalla.
Gametype #3: Insomniac's PiratesDescription: Regular based Team Slayer. Each person will always spawn in their base, or elephant. Weapons are placed evenly in each elephant and the objective of the game is to have the two elephants drive next to each other while everyone else battles to the death.
Requirements: No requirements.
Gametype #4: Darkish's PiratesDescription: This is a more tactical and strategy game which consists of rounds, similar to Raid. Each team will spawn behind their elephant, choose their weapons and drive to the other elephant to kill the other team.
Requirements: No requirements.
Gametype #5: Paintball:Description: On the side of Valhalla where the radio tower is, are set multiple barriers in the fashion of a 'Paintball' setting. Each person spawns with a Battle Rifle with no shields. A total of five rounds with one life per round.
Requirements: Know how to duck and cover quickly along with being able to use a Battle Rifle efficiently.
Gametype #6: Portal SpiresDescription: The best CTF (Capture the Flag) game you will ever play. Each flag is placed high above reach behind each base (near the top). Behind each base however, is a floating teleporter and a grav-lift to get to such teleporter which will lead to the flag. Next to the flag is another teleporter which will lead you to the middle of the map, then you must get back to your base and place the enemy flag at home.
Requirements: Start playing some Team Objective with other people in your party, get a good feel for CTF and rushed team work.
