Trainer works for me in 1024x768. In 800x600 it crashes the game. Haven't tested in higher resolution - lunch time is short

Just to add my two penny worth... I have the same problems as everyone else and have tried the resolution fix.. Didn't work.. tried different versions of both game and trainer... didn't work.. BUT I uninstalled the game yesterday (leaving the trainer and my save files alone) and then re-installed it, updated to latest version and then ran the game as normal.. IT WORKED!!! I started the trainer slowly.. using 2,3,4 then 1 and managed a whole level with cheats!!... Minor problem at the beginning of the next level... my computer hung!!!! took a soft restart to get it running again.. but at least I played one whole level!!! To be honest I dont know if this game is worthy of all the efforts we would like to see taken to cure the problems.. it is very 'messy' with instructions being drowned out by sound effects.. no real story line that I can follow and really poor gameplay.. perhaps if we had unlimited weapons and no overheat it would be ok, but I doubt it... but to be honest I will probably uninstall it and get my £20 trade in from my local game shop... Your efforts are always appreciated but a trainer isn't going to turn this effort into a playable game unless you want to rewrite the code and remove the bugs left in by the manufacturers!.

Hi folks,
I was receiving an error starting with playvideo.dll, ending with a dozen more error messages just after the first screen after running the EXE(using the Fairlight nodvd).
None of the resolution changes you suggested worked, so I tried to play one of the video's in the cinematics folder and none of those played either. So I uninstalled all of the codec packs I'd installed (Nemo and Matroska Pack), opened one of the video's in WMP11 to download the required codec (which played fine). After that I ran the game and it works a charm, no errors at all.
So to cut a long story short, if you're having the same kind of error(s), uninstall any codec packs, open one of the video's from the 'cinematics' folder using WMP and run the game. Worked for me, hopefully it'll work for others. Gonna try re-installing a few codecs at a time later on to see if it still works.

I have dabbled with hacking the game as well and I have found if you set the shield value too high it will crash with the TPolygonNode.SetAlpha fault error. The trainer for patched version of game 1.0.3.0 sets HULL & ARMOR to 100000 and I am willing to bet its trying to set SHIELD to 100000 too. Hope this helps those concerned....
