Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts Message Board  

Hi all...

I know this isn't a tech support forum, but I can't find anything on the various fansite forums and I can't even find an "official" Relic forum.

This happened a bit in CoH, but it's basically all over the place in CoH:OF and I didn't know if it had anything to do with the original CoH trainer when I used it for CoH. Basically some things will be named "$ No Key". Does this mean anything to anyone?

I don't think that would be a result of the trainer. Sounds like some files didn't get installed properly or maybe were corrupted at some point. I don't know if OF shares any files with the original CoH, but it could bleed over into that game as well. There is a Relic forum at: forums.relicnews.com/

You can ask your question there to the tech team.

I think you're right though that the trainer shouldn't have anything to do with it. When installing OF, it does say CoH will be uninstalled (but will keep your profile and save games).

Somebody else had the same problem. The fix was uninstalling and deleting the old install folder (I just installed into a new folder) and reinstalled. All is well now.

Well, to help out... it said in ENLARGED, BOLDED letters to uninstall Vanilla CoH before installing CoH:OF so... Pwizards statement is in fact true, it does use similar data files (Default factions voice .mp3 files, Buildings and etc) So vCoH + CoH:OF = Bad unless you uninstall VCoH first this wont happen.
