Hmmm black is going back up in value. I remember when it was down to 4k for a day. It quickly rose back to 5k. It seems like I missed the black dye craze. People will start buying it from the dye trader again. We could use this topic as a price check, so we can ask for price checks. Just an idea.

well acculally the price of the market goes up and down every so often. This is unprodictable all market prices are a Rip off nothing in a merchant , materials, dye trader ect. can sell you is worth that amount really. E.g. You buy a black dye (the most normal price being 6k+) but to a regular person is worth around 5k a vile. the only thing that is worth it's price is armour that being because you can't get it anywhere else and the prices always stay the same.

I think you usually find the best deals with other people in the game, as they are willing to give quite a lot for an item if its rare or just something they need, where as merchants just see it as an item with one certain set price no bargaining.
Also when buying if people don't want something you find you can buy it pretty cheap and either use it or sell it on for more than you got for it, thats how i got most of my riches, or of course you could just farm it then sell on, but i don't really play Guild wars all that much anymore, i might start going on in a little while though.
