It may be possible to access the console using the method employed here ...

    www.cheathappens.com/show_cheat.asp?ID=23096

I looked up the key bindings and console commands for various UT games given Bioshock shares the same lineage. And the command to bring up the console should be "ConsoleToggle" but it does nothing in Bioshock. They may have removed it or renamed it.

I've also tried "Type" which is a single line console but that doesn't work either.

Lastly I've tried "Preferences" which is supposed to bring up a second window providing you with access to entity properties. This crashes the game.

One thing I'd like to try is the "summon" command. It might be possible to give the player plasmids in this way. The only problem is you need a list of class names.

I'm sure you can gather that information from the UnrealScript packaged with the game but given I have no experience working with the engine it's a bit too involved for me to do right now.

I've mapped the SLOMO 0.25 to the ctrl key in the user.ini in documents and settings\application data\bioshock(i think that's right)
under the [default] section works really well. Just remember to have a SLOMO 1.0 mapped to another keystroke to make the game speed normal again. It rocks!!! Gotta love the headshots. Also, if you map another key to SLOMO 2.0 you can speed up the cinematic sequences without having to wait. Course you have to do this 'before' the cinematic begins.
