Thanks for the heads up.
D2D has it, Steam has it, Boxed, Xbox, etc.

I have the D2D version and have had no issues with running the trainer.

I couldn't get the Promotional version of the trainer to work. Just though I'd let you know.

Vista Home Premium, 4GB RAM, DX10 enabled. Game runs great but does anyone know why it's so hard to get back to the desktop (i.e. to run the trainer)?
Can't alt-tab and doing the windowed mode won't let my mouse cursor leave the game window unless I have had another window open and alt-tab to that one.
Geez, wasn't Vista supposed to support alt-tab, since the desktop is in 3D mode as well?

Hi Hudson, I would steer you in the direction of the Trainer Troubleshooting Guide as I've had literally hundreds of people tell me that the promotional trainer works great for them (in addition to our full trainer).

There was a update to Bioshock via the steam platform a while ago, unsure how the trainer works since I use the retail version but I thought I should mention this incase the new updates messes with the trainers functions.
Doesn't seem like there are any updates for the retail version so the patch or whatever it was seems to be for issues that were steam specific.

Aloha. The trainer doesn't work on my newly patched Steam version (I'm running XP, btw). However, as I didn't try the trainer prior to the update, I'm not sure whether it's just my machine or something to do specifically with the patch.

From what we've read, this 'patch' is actually nothing more than a DirectX update being pushed out. I wouldn't think that this alone would affect the trainer.
Has anyone else experienced problems with running the trainer along with this mysterious new patch? (that didn't have a problem before).
PCM -- you should run through the threads and the troubleshooting guide and see if you can fix your problem. In the meantime we'll wait for more confirmations on whether the trainer actually needs to be updated or not.
