Ok I launched the game from Steam. I hit ESC so I can get to the options and change Window Mode to ON. I alt tab and drag the game window down so I can click on the trainer that's on my desktop. I right click on the trainer and pick "Run as Administrator." At the bottom of the trainer you will see "Bioshock.exe trainer ready!"
You can tell if the trainer works when you pause the game and hit the Numpad 5 and Numpad 6 to increase Adam and money. Your money and Adam counters will jump up to 9,000 each. Enjoy!
I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit

I also tried to start the trainer after the game loaded. I press ALT TAB. The game minimize to a window, but I loose control of my mouse pointer. I was finally able start the trainer. But as I said before, my health and eve meters still decreased. And for some reason the trainer will cause the game to stop responding. By the way I am using Windows Vista Ultimate. Intel Core duo X6800. Nvidia 8800GTX. 4096 Gig of ram 3.25 Gig Usable Crucial Basilisk. Asus 680i Striker Extreme Board.

This could be more of a DX10 Vista issue rather than a Steam issue. Still need to get input from more users.

Wootage, now to get the game
I think I'll opt for the Direct2Drive version, since the Steam version seems to be bugged for some people *trainer wise*

OK I noticed that you DO have to run it as Administrator AFTER the game has loaded. I also notice that when I get hit by anything a small fraction of my life bar goes down, but it auto-refills to full after about 10 seconds. I also spammed my electro bolt and my Eve meter never went down. This trainer kicks so much ass! =)

Steam version works fine, the thing is you need to (at least for me) to alt-tab out and start the trainer after the game.
