I try to reach he alter in the middle of the lake but can reach it. I cant get off the ladder. Any ideas?

Drebon I went through the same thing when i tried to get to Arindale with my first game.You are probably a Urgoth.You cold do two different things.you could either get a different race of character or go back to the fork in the road that you see when you first leave Fargrove.This time instead of heading left for Arindale take a right and follow the road until you see a sign on you're left that says "shrine of celestial power."go passed the tower and you will see a small valley in the mountains that leads to talendor.Follow the mountain edge on the left until you reach the point where the ground changes to an orange color(this indicates that you are in a swamp or marsh).You should then follow the lake shore or if you want to make you're life easier for in the future you can go to the isle in the ceter of the lake and get the moonstone from the moonbeast,but if this is you're first game and you dont know you're way around the place I wouldnt recomend this.If you follow the lake shore you will end up getting to a river and if you keep following it,you will get to a point where the ground turns gray and you will have to get up a short but steep cliff and you will end up in the northern end of Arindale!(note:you will either have to go this way every time or you can go to the isle in north lake and get the moon stone and start using the gates to travel,but you have to go to the gates and get the moon signs for them to work)This is the only easy way to get to Arindale with a Urgoth character.

HELLO I TRIED YOUR WHAT YOU POSTED AND THE ONLY MARSH I FOUND WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF FORK IN THE ROAD FROM CLESTRAL TEMPLE AND THE ONLY THING I FOUND WAS A MAGIC SHOP W/ SOME WIKKIN RUNNING IT ANY IDEAS
