I have a question in which I need a speedy answer. I downloaded the demo after ordering Overlord and discovered that the mouse is limited in use, with most of the game confined to the keyboard. I hate using anything but the mouse to move my player around a game and normally use the left mouse button to use a weapon. Using keys for other than this is fine. I couldnot change the settings to use the mouse in the demo but, this might be different in the retail version. What I need to know is if, the same method of moving the player is the same in the retail version as the demo and, if it is can the forward key, etc., be shifted to use say the right mouse button instead of the "W" to move forward. I haven't opened the shipping carton yet and I can return it for a refund unopened. No questions asked. That's why I need a quick answer. If I cannot move my player using the mouse, (I am soley and thoroughly mouse oriented,) I will return the game for a refund or trade it for something else. Would some one whom has the game please help me with this? Thanks a million and cheers to all, GGaius10
Technically, yes you can. BUT you'll most likely need a gaming mouse which has more than 4 buttons. So, its possible.
Plus, if u have a 360 controller, you can use that instead. But, some of the options are limited. Hope that helped.
Keep keyboards to game machines? Since when have consoles had keyboards?
I think you'll find keyboard controls abound because that's what the majority of people are used to dealing with. You'd be hard pressed finding any FPS/3rd Person type games that are not WSAD by default, I can't remember playing one in a long time that wasn't.
The mouse also has other uses in this game, controlling it all without touching the keyboard would be cumbersome to most.
No worry, I forgot that stupid game months ago when World in Conflict came along, and then AOE 3, Universe at War and Sim City Societies. All I use the mouse for is to move forward. I use the keys for most of the other things. WarHammer 40000 never used WASD nor did Dark Crusade, and these are two of the best games I ever played. Most games allow you to modify the settings to where you can map the right mouse key as your forward movement, this one did not. But then again I bought it out of boredom and have found many other games to amuse me since then.
