if you have a decent rig then computers will always, ALWAYS be better than any console. take a look at what they had to do to balance the gameplay between xbox and pc users. they added aim assist to the xbox users, how lame.
as for the live for windows thing that is just a rip off. im sorry but paying 50 dollars a year for something that is free on most pc game servers is just ridiculous.
mods are probably the biggest reason for playing on pc, however i dont know how much it will apply to a game like bioshock with the possible exception of new textures down the road like they did with half life 2.
for the 5000th time. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE AN XBOX LIVE GOLD MEMBERSHIP FOR Games For Windows!!!!!!!!!!
i don't know why none of you people can read.
the ONLY things a gold membership gets you is
-True Skill Matchmaking
-MP Achievements (which only Halo2 has right now and it's only like 200 points)
-Matchmaking with friends on xbox live
-CROSS-Playform gameplay.
you do NOT have to pay for PC to PC play or any form of multiplayer outside of what i just said. you get single player achievements and full text chat, and full multiplayer.
and as microsoft has said a few thousand times you will NEVER HAVE TO PAY FOR PC TO PC play!
And if you already have a 360 then it's not that bad of a deal since your paying one price for both systems. and paying 50 bucks for cross-platform and the extra features will be worth it down the road when more cross-platform games come out.
