i looked at the .exe for retail in memory and it seems to be the same locations. i think the the retail blocks the actual writes to memory whereas the cracked .exe allows the writes to occur. not sure if there is a way around this pettson. right now the cracked .exe allows our trainer to write to the memory and the memory seems the same locations (at least for game code) as the retail. i keep you posted if there are changes and also we keep an eye out for any other versions of the .exe. also, i still didn't run into any problems while using the cracked .exe that you describe. maybe i didn't play the game long enough?
best, Cal

Hi again. The 1.66a no-cd patch made the trainer work in Hardcore mode as well.

Thanks a lot for the support (as usual) That might be, but cracks (should, anyway) block only the copy-protection, and I don't really see how that should affect memory writing routines. Ah, anyway...
About the crack... I ran into the problem as soon as trying to play a race, I spawned (at the start of the race/model/hitchhiker) right in the middle of nowhere, in a backyard of someones house, and no GPS direction to anything useful.
The only thing I imagine can cause problems is the fact that I use Windows Vista. I will try playing around with compatibility modes, and see whether that'll help out anything. Btw, has the trainer been tested and confirmed working on Windows Vista for someone else?
Cheers, /Chris
UPDATE: Tried with crack this time, now it says "Network connection lost" and crashes to desktop, even in offline mode. I just had time to leave the house and open the map, then the error. Bah, hatred crap.

To bad I have to wait another 2 weeks to download the trainer. Anyway is there anyone that could add to the trainer a cheat that will let bikes be repainted any color?

Another update:
Tried with all combinations of compatibility modes, with and without crack. There was no fully functioning combination, so I guess this one will have to be a dream for me to use? :/

I know you guys are working real hard to get this trainer out. Unfortunately, I don't have a premium account, so can't download the beta copy. I'm sure this would be helpful to you guys as I have a working Hatred No-CD version of TDU (1.66A).
I can post the steps to get the No-CD to work here, and hopefully you guys can duplicate my results.
Get the No-CD patch (once again, by Hatred) for the retail version of the game. It comes with a bunch of IGE files in an IGE folder. This folder must be placed in *\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\BNK\. I updated my game before putting the folder in, but I don't think it will matter. Once that's done, download any 1.66A No-CD and replace the original game EXE patched to 1.66A. The game should work now.

The no-cd crack by hatred does only contain the testdriveunlimited.exe file, nothing else at least when DL'd from an unmentioned well-known no-cd archive site. And when using only this the game does not work as intended. Hope there is truth to what you're saying though, that there is indeed a working no-cd crack for the patch, as I can't use the trainer with the retail .exe.
Thanks anyway, /Chris
