I have finished over half the game with no problems. I recently deleted some temporary files, etc. as prompted by Windows Vista, and ever since then the game just shuts off during the intro and goes back to Windows. Windows asks me if I want it to search the internet for a solution to the problem, but nothing comes up. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Maybe the temporary files you have deleted were important for the game. Try to recover them, if you can, otherwise reinstall the game.
