Because it contains a file called "HotKeysHook" which is a mild Trojan horse. I couldn't figure out why my game kept crashing, i was always asked to go online to view a web page that i never intended. It started messing with my internet privacy and security options, then f*@$ed up my registry. I am still trying to remove it, but i am still asked to got online, and i have run 11 ad-aware scans, Norton, i am downloading avg, but its going to be a b*tch to get off! And i would never suspect it from this wonderful site that isn't so wonderful any more. I have been using cheathappens, for over 10 months before i started to join recently, and now i have problems. Thx

You're problems have absolutely nothing to do with "HotkeysHook" or any file that you downloaded from here. That file has been around for over 10 years and there's nothing malicious about it. SOME antivirus/antispyware apps incorrectly marked it as a trojan several years ago and it was never corrected. In order for trainers to work they have to monitor the system for keys to be pressed (so they can modify the game's memory location while it's running). This is the only "keylogging" that it's doing. Many trainers are incorrectly marked as a trojan or otherwise simply because of how they work. Remember, you're modifying another process while it's running and also watching for keys to be pressed. These attributes are also similar to what a real trojan might do.

If you ever think you have a problem with any file from our website, have it scanned here:

    virusscan.jotti.org/

It will scan with 18 different scanners. If the file is truly infected, it will set off every single one of them. If all it sets off is a few heuristic or generic scans, then it's fine.

We scan every single file we uploaded with multiple antivirus/antispyware applications and do not post them if they contain anything malicious.

nice to know, but when i use ur program if, messes with my security settings, and avg go wild. I download a similar file from Mofunzone.com-gay name for a site-BUT i have now problems. I have two pc's one for internet, pics, ect. and one for gaming that is NEVER on the internet. Never has never will be-if i want to updated stuff i just download, burn it to cd or a usb key!
All i am saying is that when i used ur product it caused me h*ll. If u want to pass the buck around, and act like this site can do no wrong, AND that the people ALWAYS ARE then. Then my words to u, go f ur self in a corner. IF ur a good human being, u'll admit their a problem and get off ur high horse. All i am trying to do is tell other people of my experiences and help them avoid my problems. I dont mean to make enemies, this is a good site, haven't found anything like it. But what ever i experienced was a problem that came form here, sorry to be blunt.

I'm not trying to pass the buck around nor act like our site can do no wrong, I'm simply informing you of our policies to protect our visitors from harmful files and the fact that I'm very familiar with the "hotkeyshook" file and that there is nothing malicious about it. It does set off some scanners but it's a false positive. It's been that way for many years and some companies simply ignore it and won't change it.

The reason I appear defensive on this matter is because you are proclaiming to everyone that our site knowingly carries files that are harmful to other's computers, and that's simply not the case. We actually go out of our way to scan each file before it's uploaded and protect our users. If you have an example of a file you believe harmed your computer (and it was downloaded from our site) then please let me know and I'll personally have it scanned with 18 different scanners and if it's truly a problem then it will be promptly removed from the site.

Just to make things clear to all people that think trainers= trogan, get norton internet 2007 it will not mark cheat happen's trainers. But if you are still sceptical design a CoSMOS and do it your self!

To find out if you got crud on your pc run a hijack this scan and send the log to daniwed . com they will tell you which program is running to make your popups!

****, ****in ****. Been along time since ive posted thats because, that virus problem got worse. I wasnt able to load ANY apps or play games because of a win 32 downloader( that seemed to multiply into about 92), hotkeys whatever, i installed Norton 2007, which was harder than hell to keep open so it could install, and yes on behalf of ty90012 it does work, but i installed it before i read his post. ****ing any way yeah, i wish you would have come to my place and scanned my pc wit ur "18" different programs, because i had it in quarantine
And norton also found the same **** in a zoo tycoon trainer by pizza. I had to uninstall the game to get that off. " but we scan it 18 diff times,BULL****!!!! Pass the buck *******, now are u going to tell me that, ur programs failed, to cover ur ass. Now i am wanting to pick a fight. This site has what anyone could only dream, but the **** u get with it is unreal, and the people who manage it could give a **** to what happens to ur pc. I went through alot of hell, to get my pc fixed, i want an explanation, i hate to be this way, but come, i almost had to reformat my 500g raid hard drives, do u **** think i wanted to do that or buy new (by the way backing up my data would only make it worse!)

I can see you're upset, but you're basically ASSUMING that your problems stem from something you downloaded on our site. Do you not visit any other sites on the internet? That Win32 downloader can come from a drive-by download site (like GameCopyWorld) and can also cross infect other files on your computer as so to make it appear that it was THOSE files that were the root of your infection, when they truly were not. I'm an IT professional and have been dealing with this kind of thing for many years.

Tell me exactly which trainer you feel caused you a problem and I'll be happy to scan it personally with 18 different scanners and post the results.

The bottom line is that we have over 80,000 people visiting our site each day and almost all of them are downloading at least one item. If we were in the business of passing out infected files then we would have way more people than you complaining about it. We go out of our way to ensure that our files are clean. We have the best possible safety rating from McAfee Site Advisor which routinely samples files on our website for potential viruses and spyware. You can see our most recent report here: Link

I'm truly sorry that you have been hit by an infection, but please don't go blaming your problems on us and making accusations that can not be substantiated.
