I reformatted my computer because I wanted to put it in RAID 0, plus my Windows was acting up. Anyway, I put in my CnC3 Kane Edition disc, and the install precedes as normal, I put in the serial number, and then it starts a "Copying Files" process. After a minute or so, this ends and starts another "Copying Files" process, and just sits there. Nothing happens, but the installer isn't frozen, I can click the cancel button and cancel the installation, but it just sits there doing nothing. At first I thought it was just a bug and restarted the installation...same thing. I restarted the install again, same thing again. I took the disc out and examined it, it was perfectly clean, but I cleaned it just to make sure...same thing. I reboot my computer, but it still sits there and does nothing!. I looked in the EA Support page but nothing showed on this. After a while of looking around I came up with nothing and decided to com here and ask.

I had the same problem and this worked. According to EA, you can manually install C&C3. Create a new folder on your desktop and call it CnCInstall. Select all of the folders and files on the disc and copy them to the the new folder; this will take up about 10gb. After that, double-click the Setup file, in the CnCInstall folder. You can delete this folder after you install the game.
