this game works on vista...just try compat mode..and have an upto date pc...plus FFVIII works too...

As of today Dec 27 2011 Final fantasy 7 will work for vista Xp and Windows 7 just need to use the retail patch which can be found every where then use Aalis open gl patch and then for vista and win7 run as admin your good to go. BUT with out the proper mods loaded it looks worse then the ps1 version but when modded correctly it looks as good as ff9. I am playing a fully modded version right now and loving it.
