I still cannot get the trainer to work, I am sure it has something to do with Vista although I have tried everything I can think of to get the trainer to work.

At the bottom of the trainer it says Overlord.exe loading and then Game not found, it flickers between both messages.

Anyone else had this issue and if so how to get around it ?

Have you tried everything in the trainer troubleshooting guide?

Particularly, running the game and trainer as Administrator. Disabling any third party apps like antivirus, etc. Running the trainer AFTER the game instead of before. Putting the trainer in the game folder.

same here - Vista Ultimate 64bit - tried almost everything - still doesn't work

edit: what is more - none of the current trainers for overlord works

I think the problem is more the fact that you're running it in 64bit Vista which is notorious for bad compatability.
If you're a home-user you should stick with 32-bit.

I don't think that's the problem with vista, unless you are using beta version.

Did you tried to run trainer and the game as administrator.

Right-Click on file and select "Run As Administrator"

Yeh, 64-bit is almost definitely your problem. Unfortunately we still live in a 32-bit world and compatibility is an issue. You might try running the game and the trainer is XP SP2 compatibility mode and see if it makes a difference.

I would also recommend trying to run it as administrator, it sometimes caused issues for me in vista, i wasn't using 64-bit though.

...yeah I made it work yesterday - all it took was to run both the game and the trainer as the administrator... and btw: I didn't experience any vista 64 compatibility problems yet (i have the ultimate/oem ver) - system runs very smooth/runs all current games
